Birdy is Handling... Now a PICK UP FOR RERUN

... #27, Yvonne is currently handling Birdy on the rooster flyer... She is now Picking Up. This is an amended post. Because of the fall of the flyer, the judges deemed it a no-bird in progress of test. They asked Yvonne to pick up her dog and run at the end.

Lincoln handles from near left middle -- PICK UP

While hunting the flyer, Lincoln ends up near the left middle bird and a handle from Alan Pleasant quickly became a pickup.

Let's Get Ready to Rumble!

Ali absolutely smoked the long middle bird... also had great flyers and a very good left-hand bird.

Trials and Tribulations...

... For #16, who has just been excused from the line after having picked up the go-bird duck flyer and the rooster flyer... when sent for the left short retired, Angel came back with a dead rooster pheasant. That station throws a hen pheasant.

So, she was released from the line and she will get a re-run.

A Dog Named Boo...

... Did well...  for Paul Sletten #23...

No-Bird for Stracka

... #83, on the rooster flyer

Arson is Handling... Unfortunately, Done

... On the rooster flyer.

As his birds went down, he received an incredibly wide duck flyer, which looked almost halfway to the pheasant and much wider than most dogs. He got that bird, and then picked up the left retired short bird second. When sent for the rooster flyer, he went up and in behind the holding blind and then worked left.

He's currently trying to handle from there.

The judges have asked the long left middle gun to pick up the bird.

#69, Fizz and Alan Pleasant, did the test with a substantial flyer hunt.

Fly Away Home...

... That rooster is GONE...

No Bird for #64, Mark Smith and Quick.

Words of Wisdom...

"Everybody should have a hill like this to climb up and down every single day..."

Words of wisdom from Jerry Patopea...

Another Rooster Flyer Handle--#62

... Blue with Sharon Gierman. The handle was after a big hunt that commenced well left and down toward the left retired.

Perched on this hill...

... The wind is blowing from the west and northwest at about 8 MPH with regular bursts of stronger gusts. The temperature is in the high forties right now.

When you get down below the hillside where the vehicles are parked, it's almost balmy.

The Man in Black--Handling Currently on the Pheasant Flyer...

-- After a big hunt in the area

Scott Dewey and Louie Handle...

... on the left retired bird just now.

Test Dogs to the Line

... Bobby Smith and Pride had a difficult time with this land quad,  handling on three.

Got Lucky---Last Night?

What is it they say about the night before?

About the time many folks were fast asleep... it hit.

Some of the hardest rain we've seen yet, replete with crashing, rolling thunder and its trimmings.

Glad it was last night-- perhaps we'll catch respite today...
