... There appeared to be a pop and Shaq has handled on the rooster flyer. Still running.

Handle for #29 on Rooster Last...
... Piper was sent for the rooster flyer second but got the long middle retired. When sent again for the rooster last, he needed a handle to recover the bird.
Birdy is Handling... Now a PICK UP FOR RERUN
... #27, Yvonne is currently handling Birdy on the rooster flyer... She is now Picking Up. This is an amended post. Because of the fall of the flyer, the judges deemed it a no-bird in progress of test. They asked Yvonne to pick up her dog and run at the end.
Lincoln handles from near left middle -- PICK UP
While hunting the flyer, Lincoln ends up near the left middle bird and a handle from Alan Pleasant quickly became a pickup.
Let's Get Ready to Rumble!
Ali absolutely smoked the long middle bird... also had great flyers and a very good left-hand bird.
Trials and Tribulations...
... For #16, who has just been excused from the line after having picked up the go-bird duck flyer and the rooster flyer... when sent for the left short retired, Angel came back with a dead rooster pheasant. That station throws a hen pheasant.
So, she was released from the line and she will get a re-run.

ANOTHER PICK UP, #97
... Tupper got way left and down the hill. It's like a graveyard down there. Al Arthur began handling and it turned into a pick up.
Handle on Rooster for Re-run on Mercy... Now PICK UP
... #83, and Mercy got way down the hill and left of the rooster ... John Stracka is now handling to attempt to get the bird. Currently she is dangerously close to the long left middle bird.

... This is #96, on the rooster flyer, after a big hunt... Now this is a pick up.

Dog #88, Pow with Al Arthur, just had a really nice job. Great flyers, small hunt on left short retired, and stepped on the long middle retired bird.

Arson is Handling... Unfortunately, Done
... On the rooster flyer.
As his birds went down, he received an incredibly wide duck flyer, which looked almost halfway to the pheasant and much wider than most dogs. He got that bird, and then picked up the left retired short bird second. When sent for the rooster flyer, he went up and in behind the holding blind and then worked left.
He's currently trying to handle from there.
The judges have asked the long left middle gun to pick up the bird.

What happened is that Quick wound up with the left middle retired... the long bird.

Jerry Lee does the test...

Jerry Lee came back with quite a nick in her eyelid just above her right eye, but the eye itself appears to be fine.
Billie and Fizz Do the Test
#66, Billie with Karl Gunzer, had a good job.
#69, Fizz and Alan Pleasant, did the test with a substantial flyer hunt.

... Blue with Sharon Gierman. The handle was after a big hunt that commenced well left and down toward the left retired.
Perched on this hill...
... The wind is blowing from the west and northwest at about 8 MPH with regular bursts of stronger gusts. The temperature is in the high forties right now.
When you get down below the hillside where the vehicles are parked, it's almost balmy.

Test Dogs to the Line
... Bobby Smith and Pride had a difficult time with this land quad, handling on three.
Mark Medford and Mollie fared much better, with a quick handle on the left retired bird.
Got Lucky---Last Night?
What is it they say about the night before?
About the time many folks were fast asleep... it hit.
Some of the hardest rain we've seen yet, replete with crashing, rolling thunder and its trimmings.
Glad it was last night-- perhaps we'll catch respite today...
